Overview
Location: Onsite- New Castle, PA
Job Type: Full Time
Work Authorization: US Citizen/Green Card. No C2C
The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer position. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with a minimum of 5 years experience and a PE Certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present schematic design proposals
- Identify technologies to improve operational
- Document design narratives & engineering analysis
- Interpret customer requirements by reviewing specifications, sales documents, project drawings, etc. Insure design requirements match proposal and contract documents
- Perform analysis and design of the structural framework for the company’s product line
- Coordinate all work with the Manager of Engineering to incorporate structural / mechanical and electrical systems into the design
- Resolve problems in the areas under his or her control that will impact schedule, accuracy and completeness
- Provide assistance to Sales and Estimating Departments as needed to provide timely response to sales and proposal needs
- Coordinate with manufacturing to insure proper flow of work through the plant
- Coordinate with installation operations to maximize efficiency of both equipment and personnel, with emphasis on quality and safety
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred
Experience
- Professional Engineer license is required
- Previous experience in structural / mechanical engineering or other related fields
- Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
- Proficient in Math, Calculations, Troubleshooting
- Experience in CAD or Inventor
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
